Philips Seamless Radiology Exhibit – RSNA Conference
Augmented Reality & Projection Mapping Exhibit
At the RSNA Annual Meeting, Philips set out to transform a 2D infographic into a fully immersive, interactive exhibit that would showcase its Seamless Radiology vision.
The result was an experience that combined physical structure, projection mapping, and augmented reality to engage healthcare professionals in a new way.
AVFX led the technical direction for the exhibit.
The Challenge
This project required translating static information into an interactive environment:
- Converting a 2D concept into a 3D experiential exhibit
- Mapping visuals across a curved and angled structure
- Integrating augmented reality in a way that felt intuitive and engaging
The experience needed to feel cohesive across multiple technologies.
The Solution
AVFX delivered a technically integrated environment that brought the concept to life:
- Projection Mapping & Image Blending
12 ultra-short throw projectors mapped and blended across the structure to create a seamless panoramic visual
- Augmented Reality Integration
Visitors interacted with the experience using Microsoft HoloLens
- Technical Direction & System Integration
AVFX ensured all visual systems worked together as a unified experience
- Collaborative Execution
Partnering with Live Marketing and Czarnowski Exhibits
The Outcome
The result was an immersive exhibit that engaged nearly 200 radiologists and decision-makers, allowing them to explore Philips’ technology through both physical and digital interaction.
The experience translated complex healthcare processes into a clear, interactive journey, reinforcing Philips’ differentiation in a highly competitive environment.
