Celebrating Impact and Imagination at the Storybook Ball
On Saturday, October 1, 2022, Mass General for Children hosted its 23rd annual Storybook Ball at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. This signature event has become a cornerstone of community impact. Over its remarkable history, donor generosity has helped raise more than $34 million in support of lifesaving innovation and patient care at MGfC.
Rafanelli Events has shaped the story and produced the Ball since its inception, creating immersive experiences that celebrate hope, resilience, and childhood imagination. This year shined a spotlight on the extraordinary advances MGfC physicians and researchers are making in Newborn Medicine, honoring both the families they support and the future they are building.
Bringing the Story to Life
AVFX was honored to continue our long-standing partnership with Rafanelli Events as the audiovisual partner. Early in the planning process, we proposed adding StudioAVFX to develop custom digital content for the evening. With the opportunity approved, our team set out to translate the theme into immersive motion design that felt whimsical, emotional, and unforgettable.
StudioAVFX created playful animated environments that brought the Storybook theme to life inside the MFA. Color, movement, and narrative rhythm carried guests into a world of wonder and hope, all while supporting the evening’s mission and message.
