AVFX enabled around 450 people to experience The 2020 WBUR Gathering: A Night In Together. This event represents the transformation of the station’s annual premier fundraising gala into a virtual event. AVFX recognizes the importance of independent public journalism and underwrites WBUR programming.
In order to prioritize the health and safety of the community, WBUR worked with AVFX and AE Events to put a virtual twist on their premier annual fundraising event (typically known as the WBUR Gala). A Night In Together: The 2020 WBUR Gathering allowed WBUR supporters to join for an exciting virtual program featuring special guests including:
Michael Barbaro and Lisa Tobin, host and executive producer of The New York Times podcast “The Daily,” in conversation with WBUR senior news correspondent Kimberly Atkins. Conan O’Brien, host of Conan on TBS and the “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend” podcast, in conversation with NPR Weekend Edition host Scott Simon.
All custom graphic design and animation was developed by the AVFX Media Production Services. This event broke new ground in the evolution from face-to-face events to virtual events and AVFX is proud to have been part of the effort.
