AVFX and Aluvision: Modular Design at EDPA Access 2025
How Collaboration Shaped the General Session Experience
At EDPA Access 2025, AVFX partnered with Aluvision to deliver a General Session environment built for impact, efficiency, and technical precision. The event took place at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and brought together exhibit builders, fabricators, and experiential partners from across the industry.
For this audience, design decisions matter. Every element needed to feel intentional, credible, and well executed.
Designing for an Industry That Knows Design
EDPA Access is an industry-facing event. Many attendees design and build environments for a living. That raises the bar.
Because the event was also supported through sponsorship, the solution needed to balance strong visual presence with cost control. AVFX and Aluvision aligned early on a modular scenic approach that delivered both.
Why Modular Scenic Design Was the Right Fit
Modular systems allow teams to build scale without overbuilding. For this project, that meant:
- Efficient load-in and strike
- Reduced labor requirements
- Clean, architectural lines
- A polished look without excess infrastructure
The goal was simple. Create a space that felt elevated without adding unnecessary complexity.
The Omni-55+ Framing System in Action
AVFX used the Aluvision Omni-55+ framing system as the structural foundation for the General Session. Its lightweight, modular design allowed the scenic elements to adapt to the room while maintaining consistency and precision.
The system supported a modern aesthetic and gave the team flexibility without compromising stability or finish.
Integrated LED Panels for Visual Clarity
Aluvision LED panels were integrated directly into the scenic design. Rather than treating video as a separate layer, the LED elements became part of the structure itself.
This approach created a cohesive visual environment that supported content delivery while keeping the technical footprint streamlined.
AVFX Scope of Services
For EDPA Access 2025, AVFX provided:
- Event production
- Lighting design and execution
- Audio systems and support
- Video and content display
- Scenic and set design
- Onsite execution and show management
Each element was planned to work together as a single, unified system.
The Result
The General Session was executed smoothly from load-in through strike. Attendees and organizers shared positive feedback on the overall look, clarity, and professionalism of the space.
The design resonated with an audience that understands production and appreciates smart, efficient solutions.
Built Through Collaboration
This project reflects what is possible when AVFX partners with manufacturers like Aluvision. By combining modular systems with thoughtful design and disciplined execution, teams can deliver high-impact environments that scale efficiently.
