Projection Mapping on the Boston Public Library

cecil dorman January 15, 2016 Event Production

Projection mapping on the face of the Boston Public Library in Copley Square, with six 40K Barco Projectors was just the most visible aspect of this project. This video gives a sense of what went on behind the scenes.

Lights of Boston transformed the entire Dartmouth Street side of the Boston Public Library (Copley Square) with 3D projections, sharing the message of peace, hope and unity each evening from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

We worked closely with AGB Events and many city agencies and vendors to make this a memorable display. The event concept and original content was produced by AGB Events best known for the Vivid Sydney Light Walk and the Lights of Christmas projections in Sydney, Australia. AVFX Boston was selected by AGB Events to serve as general contractor, coordinating the staging, audio and projection mapping.
