NPR’s Car Talk Celebrates 35th Anniversary (with our help)
WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station, celebrated the storied career of Tom and Ray Magliozzi, who marked the 35th anniversary of Car Talk at the annual WBUR Gala. NPR’s Susan Stamberg, Robert Siegel, Scott Simon and Nina Totenberg were on hand to toast Click and Clack. Tom and Ray arrived in a “hot rod” golf cart featuring a raccoon tail and fuzzy dice.
AVFX helped make the evening a fabulous and fitting tribute by staging the event in support of WBUR’s creative direction. The AVFX technical Director Dan Murphy and his expert crew delivered HD video projection, theatrical lighting and engineered audio. In addition to the A/V staging AVFX managed the camera work highlighting the guests of honor and focusing on the major bidders during the live auction.
“We’re committed to the station because we appreciate their integrity and share their high standards for quality.” ~ Murray Lapides, AVFX CEO
