The Women’s Dinner Party took place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. It was a fundraiser for Fenway Health where over 1,200 lesbian, transgender and bisexual women and their friends and supporters dined and danced until the DJ called it an evening.
Dr. Ursula Matulonis received the Dr. Susan M. Love Award in recognition of her contributions to women’s health and well-being. The party raised $440,000 to support care and services at Fenway Health, an organization with a specific mission to enhance the wellbeing of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and all people in our neighborhoods and beyond through access to the highest quality health care, education, research and advocacy.
This was their premier fundraiser for the year and AVFX Boston was selected to provide audio, lighting, HD camera work and HD video projection. For over 10 years we’ve brought new audiovisual ideas to the stage, quite literally. For the first time this year projection mapping was used to bring their Women’s Dinner Party logo to life on center stage.
