Sarah Hearn – COVID Protocols and Planning for All Events
Back in the pre-COVID era, you probably would have picked up this wireless headset without a second thought.
Now, it’s wait,
- How many people have touched that?
- Who was wearing it before me?
- Were they wearing a mask?
- Have they just washed their hands?
- Has this gear I’m using been properly sanitized?
Let’s look at one example, these wireless headsets. All belt packs and mics get sanitized in one of these UV boxes. When we take them out, we give everything a wipe down with an alcohol and water solution. Then they’re stored in a clear plastic bag with a sanitized tag, ready for the next user.
By now, everyone’s familiar with common COVID-19 safety protocols but we strive to go above and beyond to help our staff and clients be safe.
We have a pre and post show COVID safety checklist that our producers and technicians complete daily, to go sanitizing kits, including UV boxes, similar to the one right here for offsite events and protocols for virtual and hybrid productions we do in our studios.
Know this, with the vaccine rollout underway, we’re looking ahead to being back on site. We continue to improve and build on our existing safety protocols and we’re planning for both onsite, virtual and hybrid productions, with an eye on safety for all settings. So, we can be ready to ensure a safe and healthy production for everyone involved.
