Baby Steps — Our First Trade Show This Year

cecil dorman All Stories, Trade Shows

We typically stage hundreds of trade shows a year. This year is anything but typical. We didn’t expect to be involved in a trade show until some time in 2021 and then something great happened.

One of our best clients, who we haven’t heard from in some time, contacted us and asked if we could provide the technical infrastructure for an exhibit in Texas.

The 2020 American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons Annual Meeting (AAHKS) was held November 5-8, 2020 in Dallas at the Hilton Anatole. The Annual Meeting featured innovative concepts and the latest advances for hip and knee arthroplasty specialists and a trade show with 38 booths.

We look for the signs along the way to know we are heading in the right direction.  Our breadcrumbs. With them, we have a reason for hope that we are moving in the right direction.

2,200 orthopedic surgeons, fellows, residents, and allied health professionals highly interested in primary and revision total joint arthroplasty joined either virtually or live in Dallas. Industry-sponsored live & recorded surgeries were also part of the hybrid 30th AAHKS Annual Meeting and surprisingly so was a trade show booth and a technician from AVFX.

Over the past 7+ months, we have built a new plan and executed it.  It has kept our business alive and relevant in this new world.  However, this week I found more breadcrumbs – the first trade show we’ve helped build since March! That gives us Hope.
