PechaKucha-Style Leadership Conference in Newport, Rhode Island
AVFX Boston was selected to provide full audio visual support for the inaugural Executive Leadership Conference in Newport, Rhode Island. Over 250 senior managers from around the world attended this three-day event designed to unite the strengths of two global life sciences companies.
From the start, the production was anything but typical. The meeting featured a PechaKucha-style presentation format, where 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each. A structure that keeps presentations fast-paced, engaging, and visually driven. The format, derived from the Japanese word for chit-chat, encourages focus on the speaker and storytelling instead of text-heavy slides.
A Dynamic Presentation Experience
The AVFX team ensured every presentation followed the PechaKucha format with precision. The result was a series of concise, high-energy sessions that connected the audience to imagery and ideas with clarity and rhythm.
To bring this vision to life, AVFX deployed 180 ultra-bright 3.9mm LED panels, configured to create a 10-foot-high by 50-foot-wide display. The expansive visual canvas commanded attention and allowed the content to stand out vividly in the large ballroom setting.
Pre-Production and Media Testing
Prior to the event, AVFX hosted a pre-production media test for the client’s marketing team at our Boston facility. Using the 32:9 format, we ensured each presentation looked its best before showtime. This rehearsal allowed presenters to fine-tune their content and feel confident knowing their visuals would perform flawlessly in the ballroom.
